ASU-Newport Reports Significant Enrollment, Credit Hours Growth for Spring 2024 Semester
Arkansas State University-Newport today announced increased enrollment and Student Semester Credit Hours (SSCH) for the spring 2024 semester. The preliminary data for spring 2024 indicates an enrollment of 1,882 students, an 8 percent increase from fall 2023 and a 9 percent increase from the spring 2023. ASUN has also experienced an 11 percent increase in SSCH, totaling 16,840 hours for the current semester.

A-State Spring 2024 Enrollment Sets Record With 11% Jump Over Previous Year
Arkansas State University spring enrollment on the Jonesboro campus soared 11 percent to a record 13,896 students compared with spring 2023, Chancellor Todd Shields announced today. The 11th-day student headcount is the highest ever for a spring semester, surpassing the previous record of 12,667 in 2014. It includes a 182 percent increase in new, first-time freshmen on the Jonesboro campus and a 27 percent rise in new graduate students compared with a year ago.
