About Arkansas State University

After attaining university status in 1967, Arkansas State University has continued to expand its academic programs and services to provide citizens of Arkansas and the region with access to an array of opportunities in higher education.

The ASU system includes campuses in Jonesboro, Beebe, Mountain Home and Newport. The degree centers at Heber Springs and Searcy operate as part of ASU-Beebe, ASU Technical Centers are at Marked Tree and Jonesboro, and instructional sites also are located at Paragould and Little Rock Air Force Base. System enrollment was more than 17,600 in the fall of 2007.

In addition to the various academic programs leading to degrees, the Arkansas State University System supports significant programs for the state and region including economic development initiatives, leadership in the Arkansas Biosciences Institute, and Arkansas heritage sites.
